Free Educational Resources

We’ve collated together all the offers for free educational resources that we’ve found. It includes free ebooks, audiobooks, worksheets and more.

Outdoors

The majority of us aren’t yet being asked to stay indoors, and fresh air along with some exercise will be important to both our physical and mental health during this time. We are fortunate to live in an area where there is so much outdoor space that is easy to access. However, the advice has become to do this close to home, and not near others.

The National Trust has closed all its parks and gardens as too many people were gathering.

Although Williamson Park has closed its cafe and zoo, the park gates will remain open for those wanting to walk around the grounds. Please do not gather in groups.

Health visitor clinics

All baby clinics at all venues have closed and the health visitor page has been updated to show that. Advice from the health visitors is to ring the hub on 0300 247 0040, and they will do a home visit if needed. Will keep updating as I hear more.

Breastfeeding support

The FAB groups have all stopped, but their phoneline is still open for support and at the moment, peer supporters are still doing home visits. Find their details on the breastfeeding support page and get in touch. Also, they’ve set up a local facebook breastfeeding support group which has trained peer supporters in it to help and advise.
