Taking a baby or toddler swimming can be a fantastic activity to do together, but many parents do worry about what temperature the pool will be.  Here’s our guide to swimming pools in the area which are open to the public.  Many are very small ones.

The Loyne School, Lancaster
Our lovely warm pool is a separate building connected to The Loyne Specialist School.  The pool is 12m x 5m and is heated to 34C, perfect for little ones as well as mummy and daddy!  We offer a number of community sessions, Quiet Swim, Family Swim and of course our popular Parent and Toddler swim which runs each Wednesday.  Sessions run from 10.30 a.m. – 11.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.  Both sessions are one hour inclusive of changing time.  Arm bands and floatation aids are provided and babies and toddlers love playing with our baby safe pool toys.  We also have a fantastic light and sound system and play suitable music for you and your little one to enjoy!
Further information can be found on our website: www.loyneschool.org.uk/pool/

To book or to make enquiries please:
phone 01524 64543 and leave a message on our pool answer phone
or email pool@loyne.lancs.sch.uk.

Bookings are taken as a block for each half term and include 1 free session if the whole half term is booked.  All children under 3 swim free. Want to try it first?  Why not book a taster session, just £5.00 per adult!
We hope to see you soon.
