the pool is mainly for gym members, but they do have an open baby/toddler session on Tuesdays from 11-12.  Separate children's pool is very warm

Salt Ayre
large pool, large separate children's pool, usually kept at a very shallow depth, great for toddlers who like to run around splashing without fear of it getting deeper and parents are reporting that the pool is kept nice and warm these days.

The Loyne School, Lancaster
This is the warmest pool locally as it's a hydrotherapy pool.  During term-time, the school has family swim sessions, parent and toddler sessions, and children's swimming lessons.  All sessions must be booked in advance.  Click on this link for info about their sessions.

Heysham Community Pool
located next to Heysham High School, currently closed, but Heysham High have submitted an application to take it over and keep it open.  Check here for updates.

Fell End Holiday Park, Milnthorpe
lovely warm pool, open to the public every day until 6:30pm for under 16s,

Lancaster University
the pool can be a little cold, and the shallow end is too deep for toddlers and preschoolers to stand in.  However, it's modern, clean, open all day and generally has lots of families in there, plus, it's only 60p for children under 5 years old.

Capernwray, Capernwray Hall
beautiful pool, open to the public daily, but check opening times as the public sessions aren't all day long.  Under 5s swim for free, and 5-15 year olds are just £2
