Breastfeeding support groups

Many new mums find their local breastfeeding support group invaluable. Not only can you compare hints and tips with other breastfeeding mums, ask a health visitor for help and advice but you can relax in a truly breastfeeding-friendly environment. For those of you wanting to access breastfeeding support online or over the phone, including information about medications you can use whilst breastfeeding, there is a list of useful websites and phone numbers at the end of this page.

Local Support Groups - updated September 2018

If you'd like additional support outside of these groups, Families and Babies (F.A.B.) run a breastfeeding helpline: 01254 772929 which is open 7 days of the week 9.30am - 2.30pm. (with a voicemail facility outside of these hours).  F.A.B. can also provide home visits to help you.
Or visit their website: www.familiesandbabies.org.uk/
